SUSTAINABILITY

Better for pets, gentler on the planet

Quality nutrition and responsible production go hand in hand. At our manufacturing site we have real, practical initiatives in place to cut energy use, lower emissions and tread more lightly — from a windmill to a flock of grazing sheep.

RENEWABLE ENERGY

Our own windmill,
powering production

A 2.6 MW windmill stands on our manufacturing site, connected directly to our facility and operations. It turns local wind into clean electricity for the plant that makes your pet's food — cutting our reliance on the grid and lowering the carbon footprint of every bag.

EXECUTED INITIATIVES

Practical steps, already in place

These aren't future promises — they're changes we've already made at our manufacturing site to save energy and reduce our environmental impact.

ACROSS THE WHOLE SUPPLY CHAIN

Sustainability beyond the plant

Our commitment to sustainability reaches across the entire supply chain — minimising the "paw print" of every bag through wholesome sourcing, better packaging, waste reduction and renewable energy.

UNITED FOR A PAWSOME FUTURE

A strategy built on
three commitments

Sustainability means more than eco-friendly materials and alternative energy — it's a state of mind. The programme behind our production is organised around three areas of responsibility and impact.

PACKAGING UPDATE

100% recyclable dry food bags

Most brands still use packaging with a thin aluminium layer inside — which makes those giant 10, 12 or 15 kg bags non-recyclable. Husse has updated its dry food packaging to be 100% recyclable, something still quite unique in the pet industry.

A SHARED RESPONSIBILITY

Good food, made responsibly

We'll keep looking for ways to lower our footprint — at the plant, on the road and in every bag — while never compromising on the quality your pet deserves.
