Skin and coat

How often you bathe your dog depends on their lifestyle, coat type, and how much time they spend outdoors. Bathing too frequently can strip the coat of its natural oils, which help protect your dog's skin from moisture and the cold. Always use products designed specifically for dogs, as their skin has a different pH to ours. Dry shampoo can be a practical option during colder months when a full bath isn't ideal — it freshens the coat without removing those protective oils. Eyes and ears

Keeping your dog's ears clean and dry is particularly important for breeds with floppy ears, where moisture can encourage bacterial growth. After bathing, always check and gently dry the ears. Use a cleaning solution made for dogs — a few drops applied to the inner ear, gently massaged in, then wiped away with a soft cotton pad is usually all that's needed. Around the eyes, some breeds are prone to tear staining. A gentle wipe with a product made for dogs keeps this area clean and comfortable.

Teeth

Dental care is easy to overlook, but it makes a real difference over time. Plaque build-up and bad breath are common in dogs, and both can be managed with a simple routine. Dry food supports mechanical cleaning as your dog chews, and dental chews offer additional support in a way most dogs genuinely enjoy. Their sleeping space
